Jacuzzi Sangiovese, Sonoma County, 2005

Best known for its role in Chiantis and Brunellos, Sangiovese is the most widely planted grape in Italy. A large portion of this Sangiovese comes from our vineyards in the Sonoma Coast AVA. Blanketed in early morning fog from April until harvest in October, the long hang-time puts forth bright raspberry, cherry, and pepper flavors. Jacuzzi Sangiovese was gently aged for 14 months in French oak and has a balanced acidity, a medium body and moderate tannins that will age gracefully for the next 5 to 7 years. Try this with a Fontina cheeseburger, porcini mushroom risotto or one of our recipes. Jacuzzi Family Vineyards pays tribute to Giovanni and Teresa Jacuzzi, who first moved to America in 1921. Their strong sense of love, unity, diligence and determination provided prosperity and a rich family legacy. 2,100 cases produced. Alc. 13.5% by vol.
